Weather is usually very good so it is a great time to bring young hunters. Next choice is the beginning of November. Late season hunting is for experienced hunters. Devils Lake is a big lake, how do I find concentrations of birds? You will not believe it until you see it but there is excellent hunting in every major bay on Devils Lake. The best advice for people new to the area might be to use your vehicle and a good pair of binoculars to spot collection of birds on the lake and then plan your hunt accordingly. Devil's Lake is about 122,000 acres and sports outstanding fishing year round for a number of species, including: Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch and White Bass.
